What is ONE Tip To Start Meditation?

ONE THING:

Notice the voice that is constantly talking in your head. Usually in negative form, or criticizing others.

voicesDo you hear it? Can you notice it?

If you CAN that is GREAT…

If the voice tells you something like:

“This is not right, this answer is stupid and you should not be reading this..”

You are in luck, because:

THAT IS THE VOICE!

You found it!

Can you quiet it down somehow?

Can you somehow go underneath the inner verbal diarrhea?

Can you stop it long enough just so you see how you feel when there is no constant constant commentary?

For some people this is impossible.

For me it happens only once in a while.

Maybe for you it is possible to stop the mind for a few seconds, and just feel what the body is feeling…

I do know this…

You may not like it.

Nobody likes feeling their feelings… It is very tempting to go clean the basement rather than just feel what we are feeling without distracting ourselves with some line of thought.

That is why the mind is always ready to create a story so you don’t have to feel anything

It it tells you to go do something which you “probably” have to do RIGHT NOW.

If you find this is happening… Then…

THERE IT IS AGAIN!

It does not even want you to read this…

So. It’s up to you.

Can you still your mind for a few seconds at the time?

Can you just feel the body without naming things?

That is the first step…
