Yoga: Let’s Talk About “Enemas” Shall We?

This post came to me as I was going through part II of what I write here.  I promise, it will all make sense in less than 4 minutes.

James tells, me is a double entendre.  I just learned some French.

What is an ENEMA?

It is a bag in which you put warm purified water, or warm coffee (as I learned in Yoga-Teacher-Training in Thailand in 2009).

And then, through a tube that comes out of the bag you insert it into your anus and let the water, or the coffee with warm water go in. Not a sweet topic of conversation, I know, but it is important.Read the rest

Yoga: Clear Your Mind With Kapalabhati (Video)

METAMORPHOSISShe called me a “roach”.  It was after a pretty heated argument. Intellectually I knew she was jealous, I knew she was just upset because I had gotten the promotion and she didn’t. Still I was fuming. Angry. Wanting revenge.

A roach? Did Kafka himself make his way into my life in an unprecedented move. Was I dreaming?

A friend who knew me “before” and then “after”, recently asked how did this happened. Exploring her question led me to understand that it was not just because of the yoga, or the food, and certainly not because I was mean or deprecating to myself.

Here is what I learned and the new healthy habits I implemented to allow the release to happen.

Yoga: Last Friday’s Practice Video in 5 Minutes

I’ve been practicing yoga since 2000.  But I committed to a DAILY – Non Interrupted Practice on April of 2007.

That means my practice has just turned 8 years old… Happy birthday dear practice, I am eternally grateful to you.

When this time of the year comes around I honor it with a YouTube video.

I set the mat, and then put the camera to take one photo every 4 seconds. Then I make it into a fast video.  It is mostly for me, to see the progress, to see what happens, and for fun.

This year I finally got to add the pranayama portion at the end, which I’ve been doing since last July.… Read the rest
