Rosa Imposible

Submitted to Arte Laguna Prize, Venice, 2026

In this piece, I explore the dialogue between four colors—ultramarine blue, light blue, yellow, and what I call Impossible Pink, allowing light to become an active participant in the painting.

I paint intuitively, allowing each work to reveal itself rather than following a predetermined image. I begin by listening, then I pick up the brushes.

I am fascinated by how colors talk to each other, how they merge and how they provide feeling and experiences.

Blue Blood. Pink Wolf:

Selected for exhibition at the City of Clifton Arts Center & Sculpture Park
September 16 – October 23, 2026

The moon is our constant witness. We live under her loving gaze. She reflects our humanity and our personalities in many ways, for example:

1- The Blue Moon appears when the mood strikes her, reflecting the moments when we are weary or pushed to the limit of our patience. The Blue Moon provides comfort and trust that there will be calmer times ahead.

2- The Blood Moon feels like trouble, yet she does not bring fear or anxiety. She is benevolent. She reflects the blood running through our veins as well as the blood of all of us living today, and even before, and after. Blood connects us through time and space forever.

3- The Pink Moonreflects moments when we are thriving. She encourages us to pause and enjoy these moments. Summer, strawberries, beaches, mountains, ice cream, mangos, dance, walks, children laughing … That is pink!

4- The Wolf Moon reflects focus, wisdom and compassion. She inspires us to care for each other. If you look closely, you may see lupine eyes staring back at you, securing your safety with love.

The moon is always watching.
